Chinese General Officer - Shiju Chen & His Wife

Full scale bronze, Jingmen City, Hubei, China, Dec. 2009

December 28, 2009, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of General Chen Shiju, Jingmen City, was held at the Martyrs Mausoleum, the statue unveiling ceremony, General Chen Shiju.

Chinese General Officer - Shiju Chen (1909 - 1995)
General Chen grew up Hubei, in October 1927 joined the Chinese Communist Party, from the famous Autumn Harvest Uprising along the way, grew from an ordinary soldier of the Republic of general. In the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, he galloped across the battlefield, risking his own life, in order to fight the Japanese invaders and liberate the whole of China immortal feats. After the founding of his heart out, spared no efforts for China's sea-border projects, the atomic bomb and missile base in engineering and construction of civil air defense made outstanding contributions.
